El Porsche 718 Boxster —un descapotable biplaza con techo de lona y tracción trasera— es el sustituto del Porsche Boxster 2012. Aunque su aspecto no varía mucho, tiene cambios mecánicos importantes, en especial en los motores: ahora llevan turbocompresor, son de menor cilindrada y tienen mayor potencia.
Es un vehículo que admite sin ningún problema un uso diario porque la visibilidad no es mala, maniobra en poco espacio y porque la suspensión, aunque dura, no resulta especialmente incómoda para los ocupantes.
Como deportivo, en cambio, prácticamente no tiene rival. Por sus reacciones al volante y por la precisión con que funcionan el motor, la suspensión y los frenos, el 718 Boxster es un vehículo especialmente indicado para aquellas personas que busquen sensaciones intensas al volante y una experiencia de conducción muy directa.
